Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. Her childhood was spent listening to classical, old boleros along with the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana is passionate about the operas and tangos along with the dramatic shows that she attends. When she was 16 years old, she began singing and learning music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began giving her a more intensive vocal instruction. She furthered her training in music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, as well as a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choirs. After relocating into America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current residence in southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. Her love and passion for music, art, and performing keeps her involved with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher in the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly for the young generation to keep this tradition alive.
