MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major international inroads into the Latin pop culture. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in the year 2017. His debut album was a long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. The Top Latin Albums chart ranked the album at 8. Following that year, he teamed up with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the Top Latin Albums chart. He dropped Dopamina which was his top charting second album, in the year following. In 2021 he produced the duet to TINI's smash song Maldita Foto. An album release in 2023 which featured the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised in an musical family. His elder brother and mom are also musicians. According to him, music was a fundamental aspect of his daily life. He began playing guitar, saxophone Ukulele, and piano while when he was a child. While his initial career goal was to be a veterinarian for animals His brother Julian convinced him to try learning to sing with an instructor in Cuban. The lessons transformed his life forever.
